Police Clearence certificate - Mumbai

Hi,

I am processing GC for my mother. I have paid fees for her immigrant visa. I have received notification from NVC to submit documents and her immigrant visa application. One of the requirement is to submit police clearance certificate from mumbai.

Can anybody please share their experience with this. Can somebody tell me step by step process to obtain this certificate. How and where to apply. Also how long does it take to get the certificate.

Ma'am they are asking for a Police Certificate from the local Police Department/Station in the Country where your mother has resided since the age of 16 years old. All she has to do is go to her local Police Department and file out a paper and take some fingerprints so they can make the police certificate. It usually takes abt 5-7 days for them to do the Police Certificate
