Administrative processing 221g

My husband is a US citizen he applied for his parents they had their interview in New Delhi on Aug 23,2011 and were given a white paper that said" please bear with us as we process your case in administrative processing we have kept your passport so that we can quickely process your case and send your passport and visa via VFS" Has anyone gone through this and how long does this processing take please help thank you.

If they are doing a Name check, it takes about 4 months. My friend was put into AP at new delhi for name check on May 10,2011 and he got his visa Sept 12,2011. For other types of verification it takes less time.

I am also under this situation and went to interview on Aug 19th.
They did not ask for extra docs but given a white paper.
