Hi,
My brother is a US citizen and he is going to sponsor my GC. Birth certificate is required as proof to establish relationship. Problems are as follows :
1) Brother has lost his birth certificate. He got his GC and Citizenship by showing other proofs (Affidavits
from relatives, letter from Corporation etc).
2) The last name (father's name) on my brother's certificate of citizenship is missing a letter. Its
mentioned as "ABCDF" instead of "ABCDEF".
3) My birth certificate shows one DOB whereas in all my documents including passport, US driving
license etc, I have a different DOB (due to some glitch in DOB on my 10th marksheet).
Now I am in a dilemna on how to go ahead with the application with all these complications.
If I show my DOB certificate (which has the correct DOB but all my other docs like Indian passport, US driving license has a different one) will that be accepted? Can there be follow-up questions on my DOB? The last name (father's name) on my brother's Citizenship certificate is missing a letter. Will that cause any problems.
Please let me know what I can do.
Thanks,
GCAspire.
