  • Applying for Spouse Visa out of country?

When my girlfriend gets her US citizenship, and her passport, she's coming to Denmark to stay with me for a while. Is it possible for her (after we get married in Denmark) to apply for a Spouse Visa for me while she's in Denmark?
That way we would be able to be together in Denmark until the application goes through, which seems to take around 8-10 months.

Yes, I am doing exactly the same thing from Spain. She has to file the I-130 and send it with the payment to the Chicago drop-box. Once that is approved they send you a letter and the next step if for you to get in contact with the NCIS, then pay the visa application fee (DS-230) and affidavit of support (I-864) fee. The interviews and paper work requirements vary on the situation. Hope that helps.

That sounds great! They even send a letter to you to Spain from the US after the I-130 is approved, so we can do everything up to getting approved from Denmark? Or do we have to go to the US for interviews or other things?
