Green Card after arrival in the USA

My dad had landed in Dallas, Texas in the month of Feburray,2011.

How long does it take to get green card after arrving in the USA?

It has been like 9 months now, but no green card.

is my brother or dad in the usa lying to me?

Is there a way I can check the status online about my dad's green card?

I know the case number and everything.

Honestly the latest 30 days after his arrival!! His form I-130 was filled for Consular Processing or AOS ??something is not right for sure.

No they may not be lying. They should immediately follow up though. First case I knew of was my husband's niece who was not even a teen when they went to America. The entire family got their green card's and her's never came. They made many calls after many months added to that the family wanted to return home for a wedding and they could not leave her behind. They tell us it was a frustrating process as they went from one person to the next. The following year, another brother got his greencard. He took a month's vacation from work to check in and left after the month was up, assuming the green card would come. Other family members would bring it for him when they were coming to visit, as he had to finalize things before moving to US. Well green card didnt come and to this day has never arrived. That was early 2006. Because he left the United States without the green card he cannot now re enter. Fortunately for him, he has a good job, and his own home etc so he is not in a desperate situation.

Knowing these two situations personally, I know that it could happen to your father.

Your best shot is to call USCIS if you have the case number and find out what really is going on and why is taking so long they are the ones that can really help you!
