Will our marriage affect his ability to sponsor his mother as an LPR?

My boyfriend obtained an LPR (lawful permanent residency) a year ago through his father who's a US citizen. I am an Indian national (we both are right now) and we're planning to get married. Will our marriage affect his plan on petitioning his mother to become an LPR once he becomes a citizen?

I am currently in Canada on vacation. Is it best to get married in the US, Canada or in India?
