  • Apply for Green Card, but not moving to US

    Hi all,

I have been having trouble finding information on this, and I really hope someone here can help me.

I am married to a US citizen, married in 2007, and we currently live in the UK. My wife has indefinite leave to remain here, and we have no plans to move to the US any time soon.

However, I would like to apply for a Green Card now, so that if in the future we decide we would like to move to US, everything is sorted and we don't have to worry about anything. We can just up sticks and move without worrying.

Can I apply for Spouse Green Card while living the UK with no intention as yet of actually moving to the US? If so, how do I go about it?

    Thanks for help.
    Alan
