Brief BIO / Status: Married to US citizen for 11 yrs. Marriage took place in the US. Have 2 children from marriage. Currently separated from spouse and my lawyer filed for divorce (Bed & Board). I have been in the US (with inspection) prior to, and from the date of marriage (have not crossed any international borders since my arrival in 1999). We (myself and X spouse) reside in North Carolina. We have been separated for over a year but our divorce has not yet been legally decreed.
QUESTION: I'm filing an I-360 (abused spouse) along with an I-485. On the I-360, question # 2(g) "Is an application for adjustment of status being attached to this petition?" I checked "Yes" but, in doing so it asks that I also "Attach a full explanation". My question is: An explanation of what, why and for what purpose?
