Visitor Visa Expires

I applied family based GC for my MIL. She is currently living in US on visitor visa. He visa expires end of Feb. Currently, the process of 485 is going on. We received a letter to submit original birth verification documents.

1. Can we do an extension on visitor visa ?
2. If the documents are not available in time limit, can we do an extension on the paperwork ?
3. Can we transfer our concurrent processing transfer to India processing ?

3. I believe you mean 'consular processing'. Yes, you can do that by filing Form I-824.
