I am a current E2 visa holder with a valid I94 until November of this year. I reently married a US citizen and am applying for Alien relative and adjustment of status. My question is in regard to my name. All my immigration documents say my last name prior to marriage, which name should I put on the applications, my married name or my name as shown on my current immigration documents.

When u got married did you change your name? If you did then yes but remember it is a legal process to change a name. If you are only asking because you are married and no document bears the marriage name then u should used your own family name. I am sure it is your family name that is on the notarized marriage certificate. So if and only if u didnt change any name by legal process, then u are good to use your family surname that is on your F1. -
I changed my name with SS, but have not been able to do drivers license or anything else until my immigration documents are changed. I will be changing my name and that is why I think I have to put my married name on all these documents, as it does ask other names used and this is where I can put my family name I believe.Comment
