Green card parents trying to have surrogate baby from india

We are Green card holders in the US trying to have a baby (using both our genes) through a surrogate in India. We found that the Indian birth certificate will be listing both our names for the baby. What is the process for bringing the baby back to the USA. Can we bring the baby back to the US immediately or do we have to go through any lengthy process. I have read that a baby born to a permanent resident outside the US can be brought back to the USA within the first 2 yrs if accompanied by the mom (Mom's first visit back to the US after delivery). Would this be a similar case.??. Has anybody had any experience in a similar case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Did you ever find a resolution to this? We are in the same boat and trying to find out what the legal implications are and what is the immigration process to return home after the baby's birth.

    Thanks!

I am in the same situation now. Where you able to bring the baby back to US? Did you have any issues entering the US? Please respond.

        bump!

This seems to be a common question raised in multiple forums, with no clear answers. Requesting the OP to please post their experience. Will help the rest of us in similar situations. Thanks very much

Unfortunately, most people come to this (and other) forums only to seek help and not to help others in the same way.

Therefore, it is very unlikely that the original poster will reply.

Most people are gone when they get the help they need.
