Lawyer asking for green card

I had filed my GC through lawyer, and now he is asking that once I receive GC, I should forward to him. Why???

Only forward him a copy. Most of the lawyers file a copy to close your file. Also they monitor your date for citizenship so they can call you and make some more money!
