urgent help needed!! green card for parents

My parents are here with pending application for adjustment of status. they have green card interview on may 18. they want to leave to india around june 10. it will be around three weeks after interview. if they don't get green card till then, can they still leave or it is not safe to do that?

Once the interview is over and if everything went well so I think they can leave...I remember both my wife and son did the first landing (Consular Processing Path, they got their IV from the US embassy) and returned back home before they got the Green Card. Two weeks after their return I got their Green Cards, I posted those cards to them and they cam to US with their Green Cards w/o any problem. Make sure that everything is fine during the interview. Most of the attorneys highly recommend that you DON'T leave the country if you have a pending adjustment application. Usually people get their GC's after 10 days of a successful interview.
