My mother, who is 65 yo. She is a permanent resident (I, her son-citizen, sponsored her), and she is basically my dependent. She sponsored my younger brother (he is 14), she filed I-864 with almost no annual income - she is a senior, while I completed co-sponsorship I-864A form.
Our family income is enough to meet all minimum requirements.
Now it is time to go to the interview (in June). What would you advice her to be prepared and what should she and I should provide/do to make this interview go smoothly. I am concerned because Immigration Services stressed on missing docs in her case:
[x] It appears that there is no proof of current employment (a recently dated job letter or pay stub), or
self-employment status (a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license).
[x] You have not attached the proof of ownership and value of each of the following assets:
[x] Savings/checking accounts [ ] Real Estate [ ] Stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit and other
She doesn't really makes any money. We have no pay-stubs for her to provide. She has something around 15K in bank, though.
Thanks in advance for you advice, help!
