Birth Certificate while applying for Green Card

Hi All,

Both my husband and I are applying for the Green Card. I have a query regarding my birth certificate. My birth certificate is issued by the Air force hospital in Bangalore. I do not have the birth certificate issued by the Corporation/Municipal. Can I submit my birth certificate issued by the hospital, will it stand valid?

Kindly advice on how I need to go about this.

It is better to call your Embassy in US and ask them. What I think is the hospital certificate is different from the birth certificate but it is the base for the birth certificate. Good Luck.
