  • GC for Widowed Parent - Finger Printing issue

    Hello All,
I had applied for GC to my widowed parent. Yesterday was the fingerprinting appointment. The thing that happened during the fingerprinting ONLY 2 out of the 10 prints came good. The Technician tried several times in vain. Basically, he indicated that it was perhaps because of parent's age and he sees that happen many times...

I could see the software REJECT 8 out of the 10 prints.

Now the question/concern I have is, what happens NEXT?

WOULD the USCIS reject the applicaiton? OR,
Would they give another chance for finger printing? Even if they give another chance, I'm not confident that the prints are going to come out good.
OR, is there something that I can do from my end (like for example, going to a Local police station and getting the fingerprinting done in INK, without the scanner)

I would like to hear from the experts/experienced in the foroum as to what my options are and what would be a good suggestion/advice?

    Thanks in advance

You should have asked them to take the fingerprints again.

Otherwise, those will most likely be rejected and he/she will have to go through the finger printing again.

i experienced the same thing when i had my finger prints taken. the first time i had it, only 6 finger prints were readable. i was so worried that my case will not be processed if ever i don't pass the finger printing for the second time. for your information, applicants are given 2 times to have finger prints taken. and if you fail twice, you will be asked to get police clearance from the nearest police station where you live.
