Hi everyone, I am a New Zealand citizen looking to apply for a US green card in the F4 category through my brother who has recently become a US citizen. I understand the process and see that for non-oversubscribed countries, the waiting time is around ten years.
I also read somewhere that each country is allocated 25,000 green cards per year - so my question is, for F4 applicants, is there any differentiation between countries in the "non-oversubscribed" category? I.e. since I am from a country with a small population, will my waiting time be less than ten years? Or do all other countries in the world go into the same "line" for green cards in the F4 category?
Thanks in advance for your help!
