  • Please help.... applied under F3 now Canada PR

I am from India. My father in law is US citizen and filed for our family under F3 Category in October 2003. At present processing date from India is April 2002. Now we got PR for Canada. If we settle in Canada then what effect will be on my current file? If anyone knows please reply my following question.
    (1) I have to inform US embassy for my current status or not? If yes, where I have to inform?
    (2) If I inform then my file will process from India or Canada?
    (3) Is any delay in processing as I am Indian citizen and staying in Canada?
    (4) At the time of precessing I have to return India or can process from Canada?
    (5) Processing time from India and Canada are same or different?

    Thanks.

Visa numbers are allotted as per country of birth . So canadian PR status does not change anything. So you do not need to inform USCIS about your canadian PR.

The only thing is the visa processing. It is entirely your choice whether you want it it in India or in Canada. Initially your FIL must have opted for Indian processing when he filed the petition.
If you wish to change it , your FIL can do it with USCIS.
About time difference in processing in India or canada, there cannot be any major difference.
couple of months plus or minus.
