Hello,
I am applying for my father in laws greencard and have a question regarding police clearance certificate. I sent the DS-230 application and have gotten a checklist stating few documents. One of the documents they are looking for is Police Certificate. The checklist states as follows:
"Police certificates are required for each visa applicant aged 16 years or older, based on where each
applicant lives or has lived previously."
My father in law was in airforce and he has lived in many places in India. It is nearly impossible to get police certificate in each and every station he lived in. I got the police certificate from the passport office in Chennai, where he is currently residing in. Would this certificate be sufficient for the DS-230 application?
Appreciate your response.
thank you.
