  • Timeline for married kids

    Hi All,

My parents are both US citizens (both above 65 years old) and they are thinking of applying for my family (me, my husband and 2 kids) to get a US green card.

I know that the waiting list is about 10 years, however recently I heard that there are faster ways to do it .. 2 years or so ..
    Is that true ...

Also is it worth for both of them to apply for me .. or one is enough?

And finally is better to use a lawyer to apply?

    Thanks,

Were they always US citizens? Or are they naturalized US citizens? Where were you born? Were you born before or after they became US citizens ? There is a lot of different scenarios - you may or not already be a US citizen, depending on specific circumstances.

If not, you would be in the F3 category - which in the best case scenario has a wait time of 10 years.

Get all the facts of your case and consult an attorney.
