Green card for my father - Issue with MY B'CERT

Hi, i am planning on petitioning GC for my father. I am US citizen. I have B' certificate for my dad, but the issue is with my (petitioner) B'certifcate. I do not have my certicate but has affidavits of support from both my parents. I cannot even get a B' certificate from registrar office where i was born as this place is very far away in India where my parents currently live in India. My question is, can i get a non availability certificate any where in India where my parents are currently living? or should i get a non availability certificate only at registrar office from the place i was born. Please advise asap!

You can not get "non found birth certificate" from anywhere in India. You have to apply for birth certificate in the city where you were born. Based on whether they find your birth record or not, They will issue you a Birth Certificate or "Not found Certifcate". The not found certificate will state that " Birth record of YYYY X town, YYY State was checked for year 19XX and your birth entry was not found. " So you can not just go to any city and ask for not found certificate. Off course with money you can get anything from anywhere in INDIA. If your parents live far away, then you can ask your friends or relatives in that area to apply for birth certificate.
