Hi,
Below is my situation. I searched the forum but none of the threads matched my situation. I had to leave US with few days left out of of 6 years of H1. My I 140 is approved. What are my options to work in US before my PD becomes current (which will not be before a very long time I guess)? I want to change my employer as well. Below are my questions.
1. Can I change my employer and still keep my PD date?
2. Am i eligible for extension beyond 6 years and will I get a 3 year extn if my new employer files H1 extension for me?
3. Since I am out of US will I have issues in H1 stamping?
4. If my new employer files for GC for me can I port my PD date?
5. Or can I enter US with H1 from my current employer and then transfer later to a new employer. Will it have more advantage to me in my situation?
It will be of great help if I get a response as soon as possible as I am in a critical situation to act. Thanks in advance...
