I applied for green card on august 2004. Mine was labor substitution.
I applied for I140 on august 2004. The INS sent a query to my company and my company sent the papers to the INS on Novemebr 12, 2004. After that I dont know the status of I140. since my lawyer doesn't disclose any information to me directly.
And I485 was applied on October 2004.
Then I applied for my wife's EAD. INS sent us the forms for finger printing and we went for finger printing on Dec 2004.
My questions is
1. How long it takes for I140 to get approved. When I check the status online, it says they have received the papers on Nov 4, 2004. but after that the status has not changed.
2. How do I findout whether it is rejected or pending?
3. Can I leave my employer now and join a new employer? If so, Is it going to affect my Green card process?
