When can I file I-485 , I-140 approved in 2011

When can I file I-485 ? only when my PD becomes current ?
Or can I file I-485 before my priority date becomes current ?


I am changing employer on my approved I-140 after 7 years on H1B, so what is good suggestion?

Yes you can file I485 only when PD is current.



Read the Visa Bulletin “Employment-Based Preferences” at to ensure your priority date is current before you file your application.

How long ago was I140 approved? Have you already got the 3 Year extension base don I140 approval? Would the employer revoke i140 after your resignation?
