I-140 Query - For both Me and my Spouse

Experts! After doing a lot of googling and reading various forums including this one with no luck, posting a thread here - Appreciate your inputs!
I'm confused a bit - so seeking clarity.


Situation:
Me and My spouse both have approved PERM, getting ready to file - I-140

Questions:
1. Is it "OK "to specify spouse as dependent in each others I-140 application ?
2. How does I-485 works in the Q1 scenario, (assuming) if both our I-140 applications are approved? (maybe too early for I-485, i'm referring to --> do we have to file separate I-485 applications or if one of us filing it would be sufficient? )


What would be your suggestions ?

Im thinking one of us should become a dependent (H4) as we work in different states for past 3 years.
