  • Should i file I-140 in premium

Here is the Green card situation :

    I have EB3 I-140 approved from 2010.
Last year, my company started the process to convert my GC to EB2 and as of now I have PERM approved and we are getting ready to file I-140 in EB2. They are working to capture my EB3 priority date with this EB3-EB2 conversion.
Now, our company is downsizing and we have word that a major workforce reduction is expected end of year. So, i am wondering if i would be better off filing my EB2 I-140 in premium this month so that within the next 30 days i get to know about the the assessment for it. I am thinking that if EB2 I-140 is approved and i have to leave the company then the next organization wouldnt have to deal with EB3 to EB2 conversion mess and also i can feel more confident of getting a GC started with them in EB2 and getting it past I-140.
Is this a fair concern ? I want to know cause i would need to pay the premium processing fee. Experienced folks please comment.
