I work for a large corporate that filed my PERM on time in early November 2015 with my visa expiry (all 6 years will be completed) by end of November 2016. I am expecting my I-140 to be submitted during April/May 2016, but now my large corporate is SELLING the division I am working in.
If the large corporate will NOT submit my I-140 due to the sale, does this mean that I will have to go out of the country once my Visa expires by November 2016, as the PERM Priority date cannot be carried forward without I-140 approval to the new sold company?.
Request your quick reply and suggestions, as I am confused and not sure if I need to escalate to my management for a solution if I will end up going out of the country due to this sale of my division. Thanks.
