I140 Denial - issue date on Degree certificate - Urgent!!!

Hello everybody,

I have completed BE during 2006 through VTU ( Karnataka), But degree certificate has the issue date as 2008. It doesn't mention any details about when the course is completed. I saw a discussion where the I140 was rejected due to discrepancies in the dates. Did any one face such issue during I140 processing? Please let me know what can be done in such cases.
