140 in process on L1a

hello , i have been on my L1B visa for 4 years now m on L1A for 1 more year n my gc(EB2) has been filed .. 140 is being processed.
next year august its gonna be total 6 years of my stay..m so confused about few things
1.do i need to go back once 6 years complete? or if i get my 140 done till then i can saty?
2.we dont get extention on L1A so need to file H1B and we can continue to stay here even though we complete the tenure of 6/7 years.
