Can my Employer continue my green card application after I move out of US?

Hello,

My green card application has started and I-140 has not been filed yet. If I move out of the US to some other country for the same employer with intent to come back in future, can my employer still continue my green card application? or is there a legal constraint for my employer to abandon my application?

Yes employer can continue the GC process.
