Hi folks,
I got I-140 approved a week ago. My employer, the sponsor, is a consulting company.
1. Now I am planning to find a new project (new client company), which will result in filing an H1b amendment. Is this a good move? I read that I-140 ties to a specific position. If I did an amendment with a new LCA, my job title and salary may slightly change as well, is that considered as a position change that affects I-140?
2 In the scenario above, I may change my employer once it passes 180 days after the I-140 approval. At that time, my H1b amendment may still be pending. Would I be able to change sponsors when the existing amendment is pending or denied? Does a pending/denied amendment affect I-140 portability?
