PERM Approved - I140 pending - 6th year expiring in Aug 2018

Hi,

My situation is as below:

Perm is approved - priority date Apr 17 , 2017
I 140 is pending - October 10 the petition was received at USCIS
I94 and Visa expiring Aug 20 , 2018 (i will be completing 6 years on H1B)


Question - what are my options for H1B Extension ? Please suggest.

I think it can be extended by 1 year, since I-140 is still pending. Ask your company's immigration lawyers to confirm.

Wise move will be to convert I140 to premium processing immediately so that you get 3 year extension you will only get 1 year extension based on PERM approval
I140 normal processing is take 10-11 months these days
