Got I-140 approved, what is the next step?

Hi Guys,

Back in 05/22/2006 I got my I-140 approved. Now as far as I know I cannot submit my I-485 just yet due to the lack of available visa (all these according to my attorney).

Now, in the "Courtesy" copy of I got from the former INS, they just say in there that she or he should get a I-485 form to adjust her/his status to be
a permanent resident.

Question is: Can I submit I-485 now?

After I-140 got Approved

You need to wait for the application for I-485 to be available based on your Priority Date.

I believe that as of today, under EB3, they are processing applications with PD of July 2001. I'm very hopeful that it will be moving a bit faster.

We have the same case, I-140 was approved in April 2006. My PD is on October 2001.
