H1 Extension for 3 years without I-140 approval after Six years term

My 7th year extension has been approved for three years instead of one year. I have not applied for I-140 (the question of I-140 approval does not arise). I am already in middle of 8th year. Does it consider to be illegal to stay? Do i need to take any action now !!

Bring it to their notice

I would suggest you to bring it to their notice. Some careless person working in consulate has mistakenly granted you 3 years visa when it is approved for one year. This will negate further complications.
