My company lawyer said the following statement on my request for ammending I140 to CP. My I140 was filed with the AOS option in Feb 07. Has anybody tried ammending their I140?, does it work. According to my company lawyer it is a waste of time.
"The time to choose consular processing is before the petition is filed -- not in the middle of the stream. I have written a letter, but I doubt that it will get into the file. Instead, what I bet will happen is that the I-140 will be approved. Then an I-824 will have to be filed."
