I140 denial

hi,
I am in 4th year of my H-1 and applied for I-485. My I 140 is still not approved.
My H-1 is likely to expire in couple of months. In that case if my I-140 is denied, can I apply for H1 extension?

You must renew your H1 and keep it valid until your I 485 gets approved.
