I - 140 Receipt no

Hi,

I had filed my 140 and 485 in Aug '07.. I received the 485 receipt no in the last week of Sep '07.. And I did not receive the 140 receipt no when I talked to my employer, he is saying that it is a confidential info and the lawyer will not disclose that.. Is this true.. If not why my employer is not interested to provide me that.. Pls help me in this..
