I have my labor approved about 2 months back.
My lawyer states that he wants to wait for w-2 tax forms before filing I-140.
Since I already have priority date after filing labor, I want to know whether filing I-140 later will have any negative effect on my immigration process,

You have only 180 days to apply I 140 after taht, your PERm approval after that your LC is not valid.
