labor certification

I have a uick question on immigration. A friend of mine received her labor certification after leaving the job and returning to school on an F1 visa. Her orignal employer is willing to employ her after she finishes school. Should she proceed to file an i-140 now or will it be denied and she is better off waiting until she finishes and starting again to file for a new labor certification?
