Spouse name Change after I-140 apply

Hi,

My employer has filed my I-140 with my present wife and daughter name on it. I am looking for a divorce with my wife now. I need an advice that Is it possible to remove my wife name from my application status after my I-140 approval or I wish can remove spouse name before I-140 approval. I dont want my present spouse name further for a Green card process.

In case I marry to any other girl after I-140 approval then Could it be possible to add her name as my new spouse in I-485 and Green card process.

Mentioning spouse name on I140 is just a formality. Actual derivative status is possible only after I485 is applied and you could have a different spouse at that time than the I140 one. You just need to provide certified divorce records during filing of 1-485.
