I-140 amendment Pending and lost job

Hi,
I desperatly need ur help...I have an approval I-140 for company A...my company merged with company B ..so my employer B filed I-140 amendment for company B..But with I-140 amendment still pending and I485 crossing 180 days with receipt date oct 2008, I got fired from the company B with 2 days notice..What shall i do next..Please help me...

One option ...

... is to request your company to continue the permanent residency process. They need not have to hire you right away to continue your GC application.

Other learned senior members will suggest better options.
