Issue:
My original I-140 petition was filed on April 10,02 at the TSC in EB3 category. It was approved recently on Aug 30, 02. However, my Lawyer filed an I-140 amendment on Aug 26, 02 just 4 days prior to the approval. I haven't received the receipt for the amended I-140 yet. The amendment was filed due to a simple company name change that took place on Aug 01, 02 (the company infrastructure such as office location, management etc. is the same). Both I-140s were filed using the CP option.
Question:
Can I use the original I-140 approval and continue with consular processing or do I have to wait for the amended I-140 to be approved? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
