H1 transfer - i-140/485 pending

Hi,

I am currently on bench, and my employer said he will terminate me in a couple of months if I can't get a project.

My I-140 and I-485 are pending, currently on H1-B, and I am thinking of getting a back-up H1-B with a different employer in case of worst case scenario. So, I am planning to file a H1-B transfer, but stick to my present employer for the next two months.

Question is:
1. Does the h1-b transfer affect my 140 or 485?
2. is there anything i need to know regarding this?

Your employer has filed for your green card when he has not been able to place you? That makes no sense. Remember, if you are net getting paid, you are out of status and cannot transfer your H1B.
