EB2 in I-140

Just came to know about this board. You guys are doing fabulous job.

I have a quick question reg. 2nd category preference. Is there any real advange filing in EB2 . If so can someone pls. let me know ?. Even a link would be much appreciated.

Hi,
This category was supposed to be faster than the others. But right now there is not much of difference in the process timings. Anyway go for this only as things change rapidly.

Thanks for your update. Do you happen to know how long it will take to receive I-140 receipt ?

The reason I'm asking is ..I 'm in my H1 Visa extension already as my 6 year period has expired few months back. My ext. expires in about 4 weeks. Wondering if I can get a my I-140 receipt so that I can file my ext again.

I live in NJ btw. if it helps.
