Extension of H1 questoin???

Hi all,

I have an approved I-140, with PD of Nov,98 with company A.
If i am laidoff, and then i join company B, and then PD becomes current, can i get the 7th year extension with the new employer, since the PD can be retained?

Any response would be greatly appreciated.
