  • I140 RFE...please help

    Hello Experts,

I had filed for my I140 in 2008 Feb and now got RFE to provide an experience letter for my prior exp. To give some background I worked for company X in India for 5 years and due to some reason left them without resignation due to some reasons and they are not giving me an experience letter.

When filing for I140 - Instead of experience from X, submitted a letter from one of my colleagues who worked at X stating that I worked in X for so and so period. Now USCIS is requesting evidence that I had the 2 years of required experience before the date that the labor certification was filed. They specifically requested that the evidence must be in the form of a letter from my former employer, and containing Employer name, Employer address, Title of the employer (I believe that they mean signatory); and Description of your experience containing specific employment dates and your specific duties.

Now I am not able to get any experience letter from them so can I instead provide all the offer/promotion letters, payslips and W2 for couple of years for which I was in US working for them. Will these work? Is there any thing I can do? Anybody who knows what to do in this case please help me.

    It may work.
