I140/485 - Not Received the receipt number

Hi ,
My lawyer filed my I140/485 thorough vermont center in early september'2004.
I have still not received the receipt numbers .

how many days will take to get the receipt numbers ????

Couple of times the lawyers send the G-68(not sure i.e the lawyer representation and couple of times the USCIS mails the receipts to them,please check with your lawyer and employer about this.
