  • I-140 status

    Hi All,

Thank you for your time and help.
I have approved I-140 with my previous employer and changed the job (with different employer) after 6 months. My previous employer revoked the I-140 now. So in this case the priority date will be changed?? Can we file new I-140 with the same priority date ??

After approval of I-140, can I go back to my home country and stay 4-6 yrs and come back with same employer or different employer with approved I-140 ?

PD is all yours, even if your previous employer revokes your I140.

Just keep the receipt number for your previous I140 & provide your new employer a copy of that. Your new employer will file a new I140, but your priority date will remain the old one.

No, I140 doesn't give you any status. You need to apply for a new L1/H1 visa with your employer to return to USA.
