Job Promotion and I-140

Hi, my employer just filed for I-140 on my behalf. I work for a small, two-person, nonprofit organization. My boss, who signed all my papers for LCA and 140 decided to step down, and the Board is asking me if I want to take the job. My question is, am I even eligible for this job, since my application for GC is still pending?

Seems OK as same job since it is still same organization unless your job description is strikingly different. Just a feeling.
