  • Can you leave US for few years after getting I-140 + 183 days?

    Hello,

I recently got my I-140. Let's say after 183 days of getting my I-140 approved, I want to take a break from work, leave the US to pursue other interests. Can I still apply for an H1-B through a different employer and get back on the GC process?

I want to take a career break for about 2 years to pursue other interests.

For context: I have utilized all 6 years of my H1B, and I'm already out of the country. My company filed PERM and I-140 while I was out of the country

    Appreciate any insight into this.
